HSoG Applied Micro Workshop
What is the impact of alcohol taxes of consumers? What are the economic consequences of keeping out refugees? And what is the impact of Airbnb on Berlin's housing market? These questions will be addressed in a one day workshop that brings together applied economists from different areas. The presented research covers a diverse set of topics including (among others) sin taxation, the housing market, and the economics of crime. What is common to all presented work is the innovative use of data and identification strategies to tackle novel as well as classical questions in Economics. The Hertie School invites everyone who is interested to join the workshop and participate in lively discussions.
